Only 30 of the more than 700 laptops that Best Buy (BBY, Fortune 500) sells on its website have touch screens, and just two touch screen laptops ranked among the retailer's top 10 sellers.

The cheapest touch screen laptop -- the 11.6-inch Asus VivoBook -- sells for about $500, but fuller-sized touchscreen notebooks with all the latest features will set you back at least $625. Touch features aren't an afterthought in Windows 8; they're core to the entire operating system.

Microsoft (MSFT, Fortune 500) has been aggressively marketing Windows 8's touch features on TV, showing off new inventions like "picture passwords" (use a gesture, like a circle, on a chosen part of a favorite image as your log-in credential) and tablet-like apps.

Assignment: Week 1.1

2. What has been done by  your country  in each context?
As I mentioned at the previous answer, Burma is still behind from the other countries that's why Burma needs more educators, more professional technicians and professional in other fields, too.
Young generation are studying abroad to get more knowledge and also to know other countries' culture. In the curriculum are included poems, history, about famous person, stories from around the world. English is being teach as a second language at our country for many decades. We invited educators, professional in education field to help to develop at our education system.
Technical in Burma is still behind and not very up to date. For example, internet speed is very slow and many websites are prohibited in Burma. Only in big cities have internet most of the people from rural area are still do not how to use either internet or computer.
Many company are interested to invest in Burma but we still need time to recover for the economic of our country. Some banks are signs deals with Myanmar banks, it is a good signal for the economic in Burma. Burma need to change and well prepared for the future.

Week 1 assignments

1. How would you propose the plan to prepare students in your country to work in different culturally, technologically, and   economically context?

Burma, need to change education policy for the country to move forward. We can not just stick on the traditional educational system. At the globalization, everyone should learn about different cultural, different languages, different religions to understand more about the other countries. For example, firstly, I would like to change the curriculum start from the primary to the high school level. In the curriculum should include about cultural around South east Asia and the world. For instance, how people from our neighbor greet when they first meet. What are do and don't for their country when we visit. What kind of law should tourists obey when visiting other countries. And also want to include languages from other countries as an elective course. So it makes easier for understand more about the other countries.
Technologically, in our country needs electricity 24 hours including the rural area because electric is needed for everyone. Without electricity how do we up to date to what's happening in the world and the same time automatically upgrade the living standard of the people. Basically, people needs electricity to use in reading to be knowledgable person. Students are need to be creative and try to create new things for the community. Need more computers for the school, computers are very useful for the students. For example, Thai government gave tablets to the school as a learning tool. In this situation, every student from the school have a chance to use tablets whether they come from poor or rich family. Among poor and rich peoples' gap are also very big only a few people are very rich and most of the people are poor and does not have a chance to use computer.

Economically, people need to change and try to lift the standard of the economic in Burma. Most of the system in Burma are still not very up to date so Burma is still behind within developing countries. For example, banking system in Burma are very different and not very useful for the people. I'm talking about banking system because money is one of the important thing to start a business. Last month, World bank is start working in Burma again in 25 years. It is a good sign for the economic in Burma. Student are need to know about how economic in other countries work.
